Auf die Produktion von GoT hat es zum Glück keine Auswirkungen lt. HBO:

Don’t worry, Game of Thrones fans, HBO isn’t going to have to make Vancouver look like Westeros.

Contrary to some presumptive online reports, Brexit is not expected to financially impact HBO’s Game of Thrones, the premium network tells EW.

Britain’s surprise vote to leave the European Union has prompted some analysts to assume HBO might not be able to draw on a certain filmmaking fund to produce the expected final two seasons. Thrones’ production home base is in Northern Ireland, goes the reasoning, and since Northern Ireland is part of the UK, and the European Regional Development Fund is part of a European program to incentivize productions to film in Europe, part of Thrones’ funding might get cut off.

Die Umfragen waren immer um die 50% Pro oder Contra. Also ist da nichts überraschendes am Ergebnis.

Aber nicht in Schottland oder Nordirland. 62% in Schottland für den Verbleib und in Nordirland 56%.

Ich hatte gelesen, dass es eine knappe Mehrheit für den Verbleib vor der Abstimmung gab, in England.

Die englischen Buchmacher sahen die Verbleib-Fraktion immer vorne; zuletzt sogar sehr deutlch. Angeblich ist auf die Branche normalerweise Verlass. Mich jedenfalls hat der Brexit völlig überrascht.

Die starke regionale Schwankung, wo London eine Insel im blauen Meer ist, wirft die Frage auf, wie diese Umfragen zustande gekommen sind.

Trau nie solchen Umfragen. Funktioniert in der Schweiz auch überhaupt nicht. Darum kriegt man jetzt in der Schweiz in jeder TV-Sendung noch den Wischi-Waschi-Hinweis, dass es auch ganz anders sein könnte, blabliblup.

Einmal mehr zeigt sich, dass Demagogie eben nach wie vor zieht. Keine Ahnung, warum dieser fehlgeleitete Spirit immer so enorm an Macht gewinnt. Dabei gibts genug Beispiele, die zeigen, dass Miteinander halt besser ist, als jeder für sich.

But many voters have since spoken out saying they are shocked at the poll’s outcome and did not believe their Leave votes would actually count.

One voter, named only as Adam from Manchester, told the BBC: “I didn’t think that was going to happen.”
