The Escapist berichtet, dass Splatoon auf der Tokyo Game Show als “Spiel des Jahres” ausgezeichnet wurde. Abseits davon staubte Monster Hunter Cross den “Best Sales Award” für 3,3 Millionen weltweit verkaufte Einheiten ab, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS gewann in der Kategorie “Global Award for a Japanese Product” und Call of Duty: Black Ops III bei “Global Award for a Foreign Product”.
