Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward – Update 3.05 veröffentlicht
Square Enix hat jetzt Update 3.05 für Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward veröffentlicht. Dieses bringt eine Menge Neuerungen, wie etwa eine neue PvP-Begegnung in Frontline oder frische Sidequests mit sich. Eine komplette Liste aller Änderungern ist auf der offiziellen Website des Action-Rollenspiels zu finden.
Final Fantasy: A Realm Reborn erschien am 27. August 2013 für PS3 und am 14. April 2014 für PS4. Die Heavensward-Erweiterung wurde dann am 23. Juni 2015 ergänzt.

Hier erwartet Euch kein atmosphärisches LocoRoco, sondern ein ausgesprochen knackiger Geschicklichkeitstest: Denn um Eure kleine Hauptfigur erfolgreich durch die Landschaft zu führen, müsst Ihr diese sehr präzise und meist ohne Zögern zwischen vier Elementarzuständen wechseln lassen, damit sie schwebt, rutscht, sich selbst anschiebt oder mehr Gewicht hat. Das ist ebenso reizvoll wie knifflig und erfordert viele Versuche wie auch Levelkenntnis. Frustgefahr ist also vorhanden, aber nicht zuletzt die ansehnliche Präsentation sorgt stets für Motivation, es doch ein weiteres Mal zu versuchen.

PlayStation 4 – offizielle Fernbedienung ab Oktober erhältlich
Listungen bei Amazon und GameStop ist zu entnehmen, dass der PS4 im Oktober zum Preis von 29,99 Dollar eine universelle Fernbedienung spendiert wird. Über den genauen Termin herrscht dagegen noch Uneinigkeit, denn Amazon gibt hier den 31. Oktober an, während GameStop den 15. Oktober nennt.
Gestaltet wurde das gute Stück von Performance Designed Products, welche schon für die Universalfernbedienung der PS3 verantwortlich waren. Die PS4-Fernbedienung kann abseits der aktuellsten Sony-Konsole auch Set Top Box, Fernseher und Audio Receiver bedienen.
Eine offizielle Ankündigung, nicht zuletzt auch für Europa, haben wir bislang nicht gesichtet, die dürfte aber nur noch eine Frage der Zeit sein.
Nintendo – Analysten spekulieren über Nachfolger von Satoru Iwata
Einige Analysten haben jetzt gegenüber GamesIndustry spekuliert, wer die dauerhafte Nachfolge des am 11. Juli verstorbenen Satoru Iwata antreten könnte. Allgemein wird davon ausgegangen, dass Genyo Takeda hier das Rennen machen könnte.
Laut Nick Parker von Parker Consulting sei es natürlich eine romantische Vorstellung, dass Mario-Vater Shigeru Miyamoto das Unternehmen leite, aber es sei davon auszugehen, dass er diesen Posten gar nicht wolle und lieber weiter die Entwicklung von First-Party-Titeln leite. Takeda sei dagegen maßgeblich an der Entwicklung der Wii beteiligt gewesen und habe von Anfang an verstanden, dass es mehr bedürfte, als eines GameCubes mit besseren technischen Eckdaten.
Es könnte außerdem sein, dass der nächste Mann an der Spitze die DNS von Nintendo (Spaß, Vorstellung, Innovation und Zugänglichkeit) in einer anderen Weise anpacke, als Iwata das getan habe. Generell werde die Wahl seines Nachfolgers zeigen, welchen Weg das Unternehmen in den nächsten Jahren gehe.
amiibo-Karten – weitere Details bekannt
Nintendo of Norway hat heute neue Details zu den ab 2. Oktober erhältlichen amiibo-Karten für uns parat. Diese werden dann unter anderem vom simultan erscheinenden Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer unterstützt.
Von besagter Simulation wird es 100 Motive geben, die in Päckchen mit je drei Karten verkauft werden. Eine davon ist demnach eine spezielle Karte, wobei noch nicht klar ist, was das genau bedeuten soll.
Über den Verkaufspreis der einzelnen Päckchen ist noch nichts bekannt. In Japan kosten sie allerdings 300 Yen, was aktuell 2,21 Euro entspricht.
Microsoft – gute Quartalszahlen für Xbox-Sparte
Microsoft hat jetzt die Quartalszahlen für seine Xbox-Sparte bekanntgegeben (nachzulesen bei VG247). Im Gegensatz zum schlechten Gesamtergebnis des Konzerns (Verlust von 2,1 Milliarden Dollar) konnte man hier gute Zahlen vorweisen.
So legten die Gesamtneinnahmen hier im Jahresvergleich um 27 Prozent zu. Grund sind die Verkäufe der First-Party-Titel, Xbox-Live-Transaktionen und natürlich die Konsolenverkäufe.
Konkrete Zahlen zu letzterem Punkt gab es auch, denn laut Microsoft seien die kombinierten Verkäufe von Xbox 360 und Xbox One im Vergleich zum entsprechenden Quartal 2014 von 1,1 Millionen auf 1,4 Millionen angestiegen. Der “Xbox Platform Revenue” legte um zehn Prozent zu, wobei der niedrigere Verkaufspreis der Xbox One hier größere Sprünge verhinderte.
Generell erlebte Microsofts “Computing and Gaming Hardware”-Abteilung einen Einnahme-Zuwachs von stolzen 44 Prozent.
PlayStation 4 – Firmware-Update 2.57 kommt bald
Sony gibt bei Twitter bekannt, dass das Firmare-Update 2.57 für PS4 bald erscheinen wird. Weltbewegende Änderungen sind davon aber nicht zu erwarten, denn es soll lediglich die Systemstabilität und einige Features verbessern.
Um welche Features es sich dabei genau handelt, wurde leider nicht gesagt.
