In einem Interview bestätigte jetzt allerdings Eiji Aounuma, dass es sehr wohl eine zeitliche Abfolge der Spiele gibt – diese ist aber streng geheim. Nur Miyamoto, er selbst und der Director von Skyward Sword kennen die Details. Sie wollten aber das allerste Zelda in dieser Linie nicht festlegen, um sich selbst keine Grenzen zu setzen. Der kommende Zelda Titel für die Wii-Konsole wird nach Aounumas Aussage vor Ocarina of Time spielen.

So for us to add titles to the series, we have to have a way of putting the titles before or after each other.
