New Years Day – Other Side (Official Video): So ich bediene dann mal wieder die Düsterheimer-Fraktion, obwohl der Song wohl einigen von euch zu Pop-Lastig und weichgespült daherkommen mag, und dann singt da auch noch eine Frau. Sag mal Knighti gehts noch wird sich jetzt bestimmt einer denken. Pfff… mir doch egal, ich mag das Lied, ist halt schön rockig, eingängig und melodisch. Und das Video im Blitzlicht-Style mit seinen wild wackelnden Kameraaufnahmen ist auch geil. All das sind Gründe warum ich das Video hier gepostet habe. Naja, irgendwem wirds schon gefallen, wenn nicht auch nicht schlimm.

Hab schon länger nicht hier reingeschaut, Tiamat sagst du?
Hatte das Glück genau zu der Zeit zwei unglaubliche Packages im Bremer Aladin zu sehen:
Tiamat, mit besagtem Wildhoney Album im Vorprogramm von Type o Negative.
Amorphis mit Tales from the Thousand Lakes im Vorprogramm von Paradise Lost waren auch nicht ohne.
Vielleicht verwechsle ich, wer bei wem im Vorprogramm war, aber egal, die Scheiben habe ich heute noch und höre tatsächlich noch gerne.

Und was habe ich noch an selber Stelle gesehen?
Irgendeine Death Kapelle im Vorprogramm von Sepultura ( in Original Besetzung!)
Biohazard im VP von Pantera
Machine Head im VP von Slayer ( kann aber auch in der Stadthalle gewesen sein)
Fates Warning im Vorprogramm von Dream Theater.
Katatonia im VP von Porcupine tree.
Belphegor im VP von Deicide.

Belphegor habe ich auch schon so oft gesehen. Großartige Truppe und auch sehr nette Typen im ‘Real Life’. Katatonia wurden heute für’s Wacken bestätigt. Die wären mir schon fast den erneuten Besuch wert. Habe die zuletzt auf ihrer Unplugged Tour in Bochum gesehen, auch großartig. Aber Porcupine Tree fehlen mir auf der Liste leider noch.

Dafür muss Hr. Wilson von seinem solo-Trip runter, eh PT wieder die Bühnen beackern.
Großartige Band, übrigens. Habe ich mir “einfach so” angetan, ohne vorher je ne Platte von ihnen gehört zu haben.
Meinte zu wissen, du hättest Schlagzeug-Unterricht vom Belphegor Drummer gehabt, oddr?

Das Wildnoney Album ist auch die einzige Tiamat Platte die mir von der Band zu sagt, alles andere war mehr durchschnitt. Muss aber auch sagen das ich mich mit der Band nie so ausführlich beschäftigt habe, doch Wildhoney ist ein wirklich gelungenes Album.

Zur Zeit höre ich auch wieder Metal, muss aber sagen, dass nichts aktuelles dabei ist, bin bzgl. Metal nicht mehr Up to date.

Diese Metal Bands höre ich immer noch gerne: Lacuna Coli, Hypocrisy, Opeth, Pain, In Flames, Anathema, Paradise Lost, Type O Negative, The Gathering. Das war es aber schon, mehr brauche ich auch nicht. Sicher gibt es noch diverse Songs von einigen anderen Metal Bands, doch das war es dann auch schon. Sonst höre ich überwiegend Sachen aus dem Rock Genre. Doch am liebsten höre ich so Sachen aus dem elektronischen Bereich. Nichtsdestotrotz bin ich in Sachen Musik flexibel, gehört wird was gefällt. Am liebsten mag ich jedoch Hansi Hinterseer. Nein, mach nur Spaß.

Rebellion in Dreamland ist mein Lieblingsalbum von Gamma Ray; noch vor der Heading. Beide Scheiben sind quasi Debütalben. Leider ist bei Kai – für meine Begriffe, die Luft so ziemlich raus.
Eine der denkbar geilsten Reunions wäre die Wiedervereinigung Helloweens mit Kiske und Hansen. Keine neuen Sachen; nur eine Tournee. Nach so einer Ankündigung müsste ich ganz schnell die Hose wechseln.
