Interessanter Gamasutra Artikel zum Thema Switch Ports und ein mini Exkurs PS4-/Xbox Basis/Pro Konsolen Frust. Hier ein paar kleine Ausschnitte aus dem Artikel.

“The big difference with the Switch, and the reason why I think its catalog, when all is said and done, will eclipse even the Wii’s, is the Switch marks the first time a manufacturer produced a handheld with near-parity to traditional consoles,” he said. “Think of it this way: Two years ago, if someone would have asked you to recommend the most technically advanced Mario Kart game for portables, you would have said Mario Kart 7 for 3DS. Now the answer is Mario Kart 8 Deluxe — a port of a Wii U game, and still jaw-droppingly gorgeous in 2019.”

“A more recent case is the PS4 and PS4 Pro and, especially, the Xbox One to Xbox One X, a more significant jump. I’ve talked with developers who have expressed frustration with having to develop Xbox games that perform well on both. They’re caught between a rock and a hard place: the X is far more capable, but has a smaller install base than the Xbox One launch and ‘S’ models, which share hardware.

“It makes me wonder whether half-step consoles are viable in the future, though I do predict we’ll see a ‘Pro’ Switch in the next year or two as Nintendo tries to stay relevant with the PS5 and Xbox [Project Scarlett]. They say they’re out of the console ‘arms race,’ but pragmatically, consumers like newer, shinier boxes.”

Craddock predicts that the arrival of Sony and Microsoft’s “newer, shinier boxes” may rain on the Switch’s port parade.

“I do think that trend will slow after the PS5 and Xbox [Scarlett] launch. At that point, developers will have to seriously consider whether porting games for hardware of that caliber (8K, 60 frames per second, etc.) to what will then be a significantly inferior platform in the Switch will be worthwhile.”

We’ll have to wait until next fall to see what next-gen consoles mean for the Switch. But, if history is any indicator, the time in between will be full of surprises. And yet, nothing will really change.

Die Lootboxen sehe ich auch kritisch, selbst in Heroes of the Storm haben die das Zeug nachträglich reingepatcht und dann war mein geringes Interesse komplett weg. Hatte HotS nur nem Bekannten zur Liebe hin und wieder gespielt.

Diablo III set a new record for fastest-selling PC game selling over 3.5 million copies in the first 24 hours of its release, and was the best selling PC game of 2012, selling over 12 million copies during the year. It has sold, along with Reaper of Souls, 30 million copies across all platforms.

Ich fand D3 noch relativ gut, sogar besser als D2. ;). Hab noch Diablo auf Inferno gelegt, vor dem großen Nerf… es ist aber nur scheiße gedroppt. Ich glaub im Urgame hab ich nicht ein Set oder Legendary Item gesehen. Wenn doch, war es ne Waffe die ich nicht nutzen konnte…

Das AH wurde später dann ja entfernt. Ich kannte wenn der hat ernsthaft mit Echtgeld sich mal komplett ausgestatet… hab ich nie verstanden aber einige haben damit auch gut Geld verdient und mussten dann lange für Blizzard Spiele und WoW-Spielzeit kein Geld mehr ausgeben, weil Sie alles mit D3 finanzieren konnten. Die Sets waren jedoch immer viel zu stark. Schade das nach RoS keine weitere Erweiterung gekommen ist, sie hatten gerade das Spiel in ne gute Richtung gebracht.

So ca. ~ 2k Spielstunden in D3 versengt… xD Hab relativ lange und regelmäßig fast jeden Abend 1 – 2 Stunden D3 gespielt und im TS gechillt aber allein hätte ich das Spiel nie gespielt.

Der eShop schickt einen beim Start nicht mehr zu den neuen Spielen, sondern zur Rubrick Entdecken. Es ist gut das sie versuchen gute Spiele besser hervorzuheben und erst mal die Perlen zeigen wollen aber irgendwie richtig rund ist es auch nicht. Aber immherin erst mal ein Anfang.

PS: Im japanischen eShop gibt’s ne Demo zu Mario und Sonic bei den Tokyo Olympics.

Das Diablo mobile Spiel soll ja anscheinend ne Woche vor oder nach der BlizzCon erscheinen.

Blizzard sagt ein Overwatch Event ab, das im New Yorker Nintendo Store den Launch zelebrieren sollte. Auch Synchronsprecher waren eingeladen… Die BlizzCon könnte dieses Jahr ein Pulverfaß werden, am besten auch gleich absagen. ^^

Schade das der Switcher jetzt erscheint, wo man mit Release Terminen bombadiert wird. Hätte bock auf das Spiel aber atm keine Zeit und A Hat in Time kommt diese Woche auch noch… werde dann beim nächsten guten Sale zum Witcher greifen und dem Spiel mal ne Chance geben.

Mir tun all die Lehrer/-innen leid, die morgen das in der Schule ertragen müssen. Kenne ein paar Kids die vor der Schule Fortnite zocken, die werden ihren day of the life haben. xD Das dieses Event genau mit dem Ende der hessischen Herbstferien kolidiert, ist göttlich. <3

Natürlich kommt es zurück. In irgendeinem spanischen iOS Store wurden Banner für Fortnite Kapitel 2 bereits ausversehen online gestellt. Das ist so ein neumodisches X Stunden Event, wie es schon Death Stranding, Pokémon und irgendein Fallout Spiel gemacht haben. Wer war überhaupt der erste Publisher der/die/das mit dem Mist angefangen hat..? War das Bethesda, mit Fallout 76..?

Cool wäre es, wenn sie nun Fortnite: Save the World vernünftig relaunchen. Bin schon länger auf der Suche nach einem neuen guten Tower Defense Spiel. Aber ich bleibe immer wieder bei WarCraft 3 und StarCraft 2 custom Maps hängen. Wenn wer ein gutes mobile TD-Spiel kennt, immer raus damit. Nur nicht Plants vs. Zombies, das ist mir vom Spielfeld her zu monoton.

Epic Games löscht das Spiel und seine Twitter Präsenz, das PR-Team von Fortnite ist mal wieder on fire. Super Idee, da muss das ominöse Kapitel 2 aber einiges neues bringen.

Zumindest haben sie mich dazu gebracht Fortnite wieder herunterzuladen und ich schau mir nebenbei ein Schwarzes Loch an. ^^

Verdammt, hatte mich eigentlich schon auf das Spiel gefreut.
Vielleicht erscheint die Demo ja noch im deutschen E-Shop, aber die neuen “Features” klingen erstmal ernüchternd.

Das ist auch schon die deutsche bzw. internationale Demo. Sobald man das Spiel bei uns vorbestellen kann, wird auch die Demo im deutschen eShop angeboten. Japan only Demos sind extrem selten aber sie sind öfter in Japan als erstes verfügbar.
